Gibraltar and beyond
Ocean Wolf left Portimao and is heading to the Mediterranean. A stop at Gibraltar showed that the Monkeys are still occupying the rock. The diesel tank is filled up again. Food was provisioned.
Onwards it goes. Travel plans involve minimal time in Spain for a while.
While passing Cabo de Gata some Orcas showed up to give the Ocean Wolf greetings from a distance.
Sailing along the coast the watch needs to be on constant lookout for fishing nets. These tend to be marked carefully by unobtrusive blue buoys.
The wind changes direction and so does the Ocean Wolf.

Ocean wolf is heading to the south side of Gran Canaria: starting with 25 – 35 kts of wind and choppy seas … to end with too little wind to sail…
Madeira to the Canarias
Ocean Wolf is leaving the land of Pingo Doce.
The voyage to the Canarias starts with some motoring due to lack of wind.
Wind should pick up shortly.

With six hundred and seven miles behind us on our trip from Palma de Mallorca(ES) to Portimão January became a month to recover and fine tune from the exhausting refit work we did in Palma.
Our Wolf is finally getting back into her natural fit state and is ready to sail. It’s now time to go back to the drawing board to decide where do we head next and how are we going to tackle the busy summer season in the Med…
