While trying to prepare for an autopilot upgrade we entered the wonderful world of serial IO.
Multiple windows driver upgrades took place. Frustrations were dealt with.
Interface to db9 serial port:

We used the NGW-1 device by Actisense to connect some NMEA 0183 devices to our NMEA 2000 network.
This product does the conversion from NMEA 2000 to 0183, we simply added the db9 serial port connector to it.
The pictured DB-9 connector with screw terminals makes for easy assembly/disassembly (no soldering) because we only needed it to program the NGW-1.

I’m not familiar with tsunamis 99 but their website says it understands NMEA0183 (via serial port) for up to 10 sensors.
